Our annual Day of Dance is an accessible, family-friendly program, featuring outdoor performances throughout the park, is a remarkable afternoon of dance. The festival’s 2022 theme is Mud Baths. While engaging with literal earth, mud, and clay, these site-specific dances reflect on nature, place, sculpture, the environment, impact, time, and histories. Durational performances will begin at 1 PM and continue at different locations throughout the day. This is a festival that brings you to multiple spaces at GFS, so as much as possible, please wear comfortable shoes… not only the artists will be moving!
The Outlet Dance Project is an annual festival of artists sharing their vision through site-specific dance and film at Grounds For Sculpture. In its 18th year, the festival champions the work of women and people of marginalized genders. The festival celebrates the intersections of visual and moving arts, exploring relationships between sculpture and dance, between place and movement.
