Dear Friends,
First and foremost, we hope you and your family are safe and healthy. These are challenging times for all of us, with so much uncertainty every day.
GFS Temporary Closing
The museum, park, and offices at GFS are temporarily closed due in response to COVID-19. We will reopen once our governor gives permission, and we have determined we can do so safely for our employees and visitors. We take this seriously. The park was designed to be a safe haven, retreat, and a place to feel welcomed and relaxed. The restorative and joyful experience of Grounds For Sculpture is needed more than ever at this time. We hope you will support the gardens when we reopen and we hope that the gardens bring peace to all who visit.
The American Alliance of Museums is projecting 30% of museums will not be able to survive this crisis and will be forced to close permanently. Our priority is ensuring GFS can survive this crisis. If you would like to support Grounds For Sculpture, please consider a donation or joining as a member. If that is not possible at this time, we hope you will support us when we open by visiting.
GFS Will Operate With Limited Staff
We appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult period.
Rats Restaurant
Schedule and programming at Rats Restaurant may vary slightly from that of GFS. Please see Rat’s hours at ratsrestaurant.com.
In the interim, we invite you to explore our collection of 400+ works on our website groundsforsculpture.org and our interactive map gfsmap.org, which features sculpture and horticulture throughout the grounds—a chance to discover something new and maybe learn even more about a longtime favorite.
Any organizational updates will be announced via this page, email, and social media.
All our best,
