Helena Lukášová graduated in 1996 with a MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia, and also has received specialized training in fresco painting, mosaic, and woodworking techniques. Professional experience includes working as a graphic designer, teaching fashion design and clay modeling, and completing public and private commissions. Prior to the 2000 installation of Inua at Grounds For Sculpture, Lukášová exhibited with other emerging artists in her native country of the Czech Republic, and at Ellarslie, the Trenton City Museum. She currently resides in the Czech Republic.
